whether you are swimming or running, these headphones have a very good acoustic range. Great low end sound for those energizing sprints and clear vocals, even with the water splashing against your ears.
The variety of ear buds you get is great, tested 2 and found the perfect fit. They never fall out while training for triathlons. Cycling indoors with these is great also, no wires to mess with when used the waist strap and a waist mounted X-1 case. (Posted on 12/29/12)

This is an exciting product. Waterproof to a decent depth (bottom of pool - 8 ft) and with headband that kept it in place while swimming hard. However, positioning of ear buds critical so no water leaks and sound gets muffled. Also, after about 1+ yrs left ear bud quit working completely. So bottom line, it has/had fantastic sound when ear buds properly placed and don't move, headband keeps wires out way nicely for many activities, but don't trust that they'll last for long. Kind of expensive for how long they last. Hope better performance in future with new versions?

Surprisingly good sound for an underwater headphone. However, I found the cord be annoyingly short and there was significant drag on the wrap when swimming at any sort of pace or running and having the wrap hop up and down. Returned and exchanged for the non-wrap version which seems to have a longer cord when the wire that connects to the input developed a problem and only one ear was getting music. (Posted on 3/29/12)

These are easily the best waterproof headphones I have used. The sound quality is excellent and the design ensures that they stay in place during lap swimming and water aerobics. In the past I needed a headband to make sure that the headphones stayed put. The coiled cord feature also helps and there are never any tangles. I did have an issue with one speaker failing after 7-8 months of heavy use but H2O audio promptly replaced the headphones at no charge. Couldn't swim without them!! (Posted on 3/23/12)

These headphones worked amazingly well for the first month that I had them. I could not believe that I could get such great sound under water. However, now I usually end up yanking them out of my ears at the end of a lap because I can't stand the cutting in and out - first one ear and then the other. So frustrating. I guess music and water just don't get to mix perfectly. Two stars for the really great workouts I enjoyed before the problems started. (Posted on 3/14/12)

The sound quality when you are in the water is fantastic. I had problems with the first pair but had no problem returning them and getting a new one. They stay in your ear, the cord doesn't get in the way and they are comfortable. It's by far the best pair of headphones I've had so far. I never surf without them. (Posted on 2/19/12)

I have 2 headphones.
When new, they work great and the sound is very good and enjoyable.
After few month of usage (twich a week for an hour - not a very harsh usage) the sounds breaks on/off during movement ,in one or two of the earplugs.
I had them replaced - customer support is excelllnet BTW, but no chnage with the replaced item as well....

Tried these headphones for the first time in the pool this morning and I love them! They stayed in place and I never even noticed they were behind my neck. (Posted on 12/13/11)

I've tried many variety of sports headphones over the last few years and have never been able to find a pair that actually stay in or on my ears. I'm guessing it's due to the amount of bounce. Even earphones that wrap around my ears end up hanging around my neck.
The Surge Sportwrap 2G are different, they are still on my ears at the end of the workout, be it running or swimming. The neckband around the back of my head is snug enough and doesn't annoy my ears at all.
The coiled cord means that theres not too much cord swinging around during the workout.
At the end of the day, the only issue is finding the right sized earbud, and with 5 different sets to choose from it wasn't too hard for me to get it right.

I JUST GOT REPLACED MI SECOND PAIR IN 5 MONTHS!!! I HOPE THIS THIRD ONE WILL LAST LONGER! BECAUSE I LOVE SWIMMING WITH THESE HEADPHONES IN COMBINATION WITH WATERPROOF CASE FOR IPHONE. THE PROBLEM IS ALWAYS THE SAME: AFTER A WHILE ONE OR BOTH OF THE HEADPHONES WENT OUT!! ALSO, THE PLUGS GET LOOSE... I TRYIED TO CHANGE SIZE BUT UNSUCCESFULLY. MAYBE A DIFFERENT KIND OF PLUGS WOULD STICK BETTER INSIDE MY HEAR! (Posted on 9/12/11)

I've had these for 4 months now and have had to return them twice because both times one side of the earphones completely went out (and the first time BOTH sides went out). They were really good about returning them and sending me replacement (not a new in box replacement though). But now they're broken again after fewer than 10 times in the pool... Buyer beware. I have used many other headphones and they all come up short. Doing crossfit workouts you are running, jumping, swinging, climbing, ect… but these headphones stay in place until you remove them. Plus the water proof feature is great, I've finished workouts and really could not have been anymore wet if I had jumped into a lake. They also are great on the mountain bike even in the rain.
A most by for athletes. (Posted on 12/1/10)

I had problems with version 1 of these headphones.... these perform flawlessly. Just buy them you won't regret it. You also need the $20 earplug selection to make sure they fit snugly in your ears. Almost gave up with first version. Now very happy!!! JS in Palos Verdes. (Posted on 11/22/10)

One thing that I've come to realize with many other waterproof headphones is that the quality is diminished and sounds like you have tin cans on your ears but these headphones change that! they sound great and you can take them anywhere! Land or sea!
These are worth it! (Posted on 10/25/10)
